The rapper guy from Faithless (Maxi Jazz) talks a lot of sense.
He once said that this world of ours is obsessed with the superficial differences between us.
Whereas he was much more interested in looking beneath that, and thinking about all that we have in common.
I’ve remembered his quote because I’m doing some research into a new client I’m going to be working with soon.
It’s a start-up, led by what looks like a very dynamic, young team. I was interested.
Then I discovered who they’ve done work for and that they’ve received Scottish Enterprise funding. That says a lot about them and by that stage I was really keen to be involved.
But what’s clinched it for me was visiting their Facebook page and seeing they’d shared a post from Seth Godin’s blog.
One of their favourite writers and thinkers, and also one of mine.
The things we have in common.
I’ve a feeling this is going to be the start of something good.
