How Much Does Social Media Training Cost?

Sometimes, nothing at all. There’s a huge amount of good information available on the internet for free. The question that perhaps should be asked is ‘which social media training represents the best value for money?’
Many training providers or agencies try to ‘hook you in’ by offering taster sessions where they’ll give away some basic knowledge regarding Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the rest. If you found a good free course, read the right blogs, borrowed a couple of good books and asked a friend for some tips, you could get a pretty good handle on how to get going without spending any money at all.
The full day ‘Embrace The Space‘ social media training workshops I run with NSDesign cost £150 per person with discounts if more than one of you book at once. But what a lot of people don’t realise is that these sessions, and I would argue most good social media training doesn’t stop with ‘how to use Twitter and Facebook’.
It’s much more about how your business communicates. It’s about understanding what you do, what makes your business unique and how to find potential customers. It’s about excellent customer service, the changing world we live in and how you need to adapt in order to survive.
It’s not just us sharing knowledge. We like to think we have a lot of knowledge but that same knowledge flies around the internet freely. The real value is in developing an understanding and then acquiring new skills. It’s about changing the way you do business. Taking the knowledge and building a strategy. Leaving the room at the end of the day with a whole new vision, an energy and a clarity of purpose that’s going to truly make a difference.
There’s problem solving, group work, discussions and case studies. As well as a scary but extremely necessary section looking at Twitter and the law. You can see what it looks like here and please get in touch if you need any more information.
So now you know the answer to the question ‘how much does social media training cost?’. And regarding ‘which social media training workshop represents the best value for money?’ I can only point to NSDesign’s awards for ‘Best Value For Money UK Agency’ which they’ve won 3 years in a row from RAR (Recommended Agency Registrar) and our own training evaluation forms which show that for each of our workshops over the last 2 years, 100% of the participants have declared that they do consider ‘Embrace The Space’ value for money and that they’d recommend the course to a friend.
